Elected: 2009
The City Treasurer is an elected position and is responsible to the electorate for overseeing the custody of the City monies and their disbursement upon order of the City Council. The City Treasurer’s specific service objectives include: Receive and safely keep City Funds and schedule their availability to meet cash requirements; and provide overall investment management and strategy in order to obtain maximum earnings on money in custody in accordance with the City’s investment policy and State laws. In addition, the City Treasurer with the assistance of the Finance Division also provides monthly investment reports, updates and submits the annually investment policy to the City Council.

- Received Bachelor's of Arts degree from USC.
- Received Law Degree from UCLA Law School.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of California and an active member of the California State Bar.
- Past President and current member of the San Gabriel Bar Association.
- Past President and member of the Brightwood Elementary School Parent Teachers Association.
- Current President of the Monterey Park Optimist Club.

- Spouse, Rolanda, has resided in Monterey Park most of her life and graduated from Highlands elementary & Alhambra High School.
